Required

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Must type at least 45 WPM accurately
  3. Must have computer skills
  4. High degree of confidentiality
  5. Possess good public relation skills
  6. Honesty
  7. Cooperate and get along with others
  8. Work as a member of a team

 

Desirable:

  1. Knowledge of the school system
  2. Ability to work without supervision  

 

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of a Sub Secretary include, but are not limited to, the following: 

 

  1. Assists in all areas of clerical work needed to maintain the function of the office to which assigned
  2. Answers the telephone and responds appropriately to requests
  3. Greets all visitors courteously and arranges for their comfort
  4. Distribute mail
  5. Maintains a schedule of appointments 
  6. Screens unexpected callers in accordance with established practices
  7. Deal effectively with the age level of the children in the building to which assigned
  8. Performs other duties as assigned
